Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help and the Installation of the Icon in Casa Central
On June 27, 2025, our Congregation experienced a profoundly moving and providential moment during the celebration of the Feast of Our Mother of Perpetual Help at Casa Central.
The celebration began at 12:30 p.m. with the solemn blessing and procession of the sacred image of Our Mother of Perpetual Help, brought directly from Rome by Mother Melissa Garza, Superior General. This precious icon, a providential gift from God and from Our Blessed Mother herself, was installed in our chapel, marking a historical and grace-filled event in the life of the Congregation.
The procession started from the “Memorial” and made its way to the chapel. Along the hallways, the image of the Blessed Virgin was lovingly welcomed with petals of flowers, joyfully scattered by the “little angels” — the niñas from our Casa Hogar.
Following the installation, a solemn Eucharistic Celebration was presided over by Fr. Joaquín Frausto Nájera, CSsR, Provincial Superior of the Redemptorists in Mexico. The event was further enriched by the presence of Mother General Melissa Garza and her Council, the sisters of the Province of Mexico, lay missionaries, the niñas of Casa Hogar-Zacatenco, and friends and benefactors.
It was truly a providential and unforgettable day — a reminder that Our Mother of Perpetual Help continues to walk with us, bless our Congregation, and inspire us in our mission of service.
